The colour of the year

Each year Pantone release a colour of the year which they believe will be the hottest colour in that year. This year is ultra violet a vibrant purple .

I am not usually a purple fan so when I first saw it I wasn't sure but its now actually really grown on me. I have included some colour palette inspiration for you below so you can see how it would work in your wardrobe.

There are so many beautiful colours in the shops at the minute but the ones that are really standing out to me are fiery bright oranges, soft blush pinks and cool vivid greens - all of which appear in these pantone colour palettes complimented beautifully by Ultraviolet. In the fashion I have seen so far this spring the purple shades seem to be mixed in with bold and vibrant floral patterns.

Summer 2016's headpieces saw lots of blush pinks and last year was all about the oranges so I am excited to see what this summer will bring.
