Midland Fashion Awards

I am delighted to finally be able to let you all know that something very exciting has happened.

Earlier in the summer I entered the Midland Fashion Awards in the Accessories category, showcasing my creations and ideas via on online submission and links to my social media pages. Unbelievably to me photos of my work were enough to persuade the judges to invite me to the semi-finals where I was interviewed by a panel of judges. I showed them examples of my work and explained that Hiorns Hats is a part time business and something that I do in my free time. I also explained that I am largely self taught with only a couple of days of tuition and a lot of trial and error in the early days.

Even more surprisingly and to my absolute delight they have invited me to showcase my work at the finals at the CBSO Centre, Birmingham in October where I will have 6 models on the catwalk and the opportunity to show my work to a large crowd of fashion lovers.

I am so unbelievably honoured and thrilled to have been invited to such an event. Tickets are currently on sale at www.midlandsfashionawards.co.uk along with details of the other finalists.
